PAST EXHIBITION
Julie was invited by Zoë Camper to exhibit Whispers of My Journey at The ValleRy, a virtual reality gallery, between January and June 2025. The exhibition featured twelve of her most recent works, presented within an immersive digital environment that allowed audiences to navigate and experience the pieces in three-dimensional space. The VR format enabled a unique interplay between scale, perspective, and spatial arrangement, enhancing the emotional and intellectual engagement of viewers. This exhibition extended Julie’s practice into a digital context, exploring new possibilities for audience interaction and creative expression. The exhibition has now concluded.
"Whispers of My Journey" encapsulates the intimate nature of my experiences, resonating with the subtle tones of the poetry I weave into my art pieces. Each artwork serves as a visual narrative, reflecting the emotions and thoughts expressed in my written words, symbolizing the quiet yet powerful reflections of my life’s path as these whispers manifest in colour, texture, and form. This interplay between my poetry and visual art allows me to delve into themes of vulnerability, resilience, and growth, creating layers of meaning that invite viewers to connect with my story on a personal level. Each piece becomes a dialogue, echoing the sentiments of my poetry and encouraging others to reflect on their journeys. By merging these forms of expression, I aim to craft a holistic experience that resonates with the audience, making "Whispers of My Journey" not just a title but a heartfelt invitation to explore the depths of human experience through both words and visuals.
About The ValleRy
"The ValleRy is connected to the real world by portals placed in partner locations. This project brings much needed new gallery space to Las Vegas. The new space is built using Virtual Reality technology, it is accessed using a QR Code placed at ‘partnership’ locations. The ValleRy has the technical, management and marketing tools needed to support a professional VR gallery and associated promotional events.
The ValleRy launched on 27th June with an exhibition showcase of my cryptographic portraiture work. The goal of this exhibition is to demonstrate the benefits of using Virtual Reality and to showcase the gallery to potential new partnership portals on the Las Vegas Strip and in other locations." ~ Zoë Camper
